Laura of The Unique Sheep has sent in some wonderful mini hanks of her sock yarn for us to enjoy.
I must tell you, if you haven't experienced the beautiful colors Laura offers in her shop, please do yourself a favor and purchase something today!
The Unique Sheep is home to many very popular yarn and fiber clubs- I know some of you who read this have been involved in these- We'd love to know how much you enjoyed them. I plan on purchasing a club soon too!
I really enjoy the layout of Laura's website. First, you go pick a color and then you pick your base yarn- every color in every yarn she offers!
Speaking of yarns, she now offers a wonderfully scrumptious looking "Green Sheep" Yarn which is all organic!
One of the many things I appreciate about The Unique Sheep, is her collaborations with other artists. To me, this is probably the most exciting part of The Unique Sheep!
Laura has sent in a little mini key chain sock blocker and mini hank of her yarn for a giveaway prize! One lucky recipient will be randomly chosen from the comments section below! Please visit The Unique Sheep store, find something you love and talk about it here. Make sure you leave a way for me to find you on Friday when our mass drawings will be held. Tweets, plurks, posts all get second entries so help spread the word!
Laura, thank you so much for sending your absolutely beautiful samples in to Phat Fiber this month! We would love to have you participate in future boxes!
Long have a I window shopped at the Unique Sheep - love the green sheep yarn!
ReplyDeleteI like this pattern: http://www.theuniquesheep.com/patterns/springvines.htm, as a top I could never wear it, but as a vest... now I'm tempted (too bad... or good thing... it is under revision and not available)
ReplyDeleteI also love the idea of the Rams Club and the Color Co-op Club.

I'm wondering if the mini-sock blocker, pattern and skein might be the perfect thing to use for teaching socks this summer at the slvfest.
ReplyDeleteI am in love with the Gradiance yarns - particularly the Sea Shells and the Heart Burn colorways. Such beautiful colors! I may just have to break my yarn diet and buy some... :)

My favorite Unique Sheep item is the worsted weight Singularity in Wool in the Autumn in the City colorway. I'm using more and more worsted weight yarns lately and I love the Autumn colors mixed with a little green and pink. Very Unique!

Every year on my birthday we took our 2 little ones to see the local Nutcracker Ballet. It became a family tradition until I was in a car accident in 2000. I had 5 surgeries in 5 years, started recovering and ended up with CRPS-more bed time. This year, for my 58th birthday my "babies" took me to Lincoln Center on my birthday to see the Nutcracker performed by dancers I'd never dreamed of seeing. My babies took me.Everything in The Unique Sheep is magical but my heart stopped when I saw the Nutcracker Collection. I thought it would be a perfect way to thank both of them with a pair of socks in The Land Of Snow
