I am so pumped about this idea, because I like to be the first to know when things are available! CJ recently sent me a gorgeous carded batt of a silvery sparkly shetland and silky shiny bamboo. It was the finest "extreme spinning" experience of mine to-date. The shetland had a touch of lanolin which conditioned my fingers and all the while whispering to me "I'm wool and I'm not ashamed of it". The bamboo was undyed and completely smooth and slinky. I ended up plying two fairly thick singles together to make a chunky funky natural colored yarn with a luxurious drape. Fabulous!
Of course, if you're just starting out wanting to spin, ask CJ about her learn to spindle packages, she'll be glad to put one together for you!
To win this bright pink batt (seacell/merino, the sparkle is firestar and the orange is alpaca/merino. Sandwiched in the middle is lots of lovely bamboo. Total weight is 4.5 oz), just visit Extreme Spinning's New Site and or the Etsy shop and pick out something you'd like to write about here. I'll be drawing for the week next Thursday and as with all my contests, I count your extra networking efforts as more entries for you- twitter, facebook, plurk, ravelry posts - Just let me know you did it!
Thank you CJ, for keeping spinning exciting and for being such a great person!
I like the LUCKY LEPRECHAUN NEW Organic Merino Cross Top 20.5 micron 2 oz SOFTNESS... beautiful colors together! :D
