Katherine Vaughan Designs and *Giveaway*

Katherine Vaughan is doing something exciting with her designs! She has been creating small accessories- mostly bracelets out of her Phat Fiber samples and sharing her skill and eye for design with us!
One of the things I particularly appreciate about Katherine's designs, is her use of repetition. She'll find or create an entire piece based on one stitch design, making somewhat complicated looking pieces easy to tackle for the beyond basic knitter.
The scope of Katherine's work is amazing. From baby blankets to capelets, from kid's hats to women's accessories- I wonder if there is anything she cant create?
I have to mention one of her patterns I am particularly fond of right now and that is the Peak's Child Scarf and Hat Why? Because StitchJones is a Phat Fiber contributer as well! It warms my heart to see talented people come together to create beautiful things!
Katherine's April and May samples have arrived and they are both very pretty and appropriate for spring. I particularly like the corset- like ties on her new "Arrowhead Bracelet"- I can see this being a unisex knit.
We would all like to congratulate Katherine on the birth of a new healthy baby boy! Time to get cracking on some handsom boy-knits, KT. There is truly an aesthetic void (as a mom to boy myself) in that area of knitting!
In celebration of Katherine and her wonderful work, I would like to offer a giveaway- your choice of either the April Arrowhead Bracelet or the May Garden Bracelet. Just visit Katherine's Blog (links to both her Ravelry Store and her Etsy shop are there) find a design of hers that speaks to you, and post about it below here. We'll draw the winner on Friday! Extra twittering and other social media outlets will net you additional entries!

  13. Congrats KT on the healthy baby boy! I've had my eye on the Skirtsicle for awhile now. My little one is finally favoring girly clothes over dressing like her brothers.

  16. Well of course I love the Alison tote (since my former roomie KT created the pattern for my birthday last year)! I use mine all the time when I need a little bag.

As far as a pattern of hers I'd like to make, my baby needs more washcloths - and I think the Opening Hour cloth looks fun and functional!
