Fiber Fancy and Giveaway!

I simply cannot wait until you get the Fiber Fancy July samples! They are the most perfectly packed rainbow assortment of mohair!

Diana is a true friend of color. You can find really beautiful jewel toned locks, gorgeous handspun, and more recently the most fluffy and scrumptious looking batts I've seen in a while!

Take a look at the beautiful mohair braid in her "Tutti Frutti" colorway we are giving away! It is so soft, so satiny, and the colors just pop. I love that it is already a braid- sometimes new spinners can be intimidated by mohair locks (Don't be! They are fun!) and this a very familiar form.

Would you like this 4 oz yearling mohair braid from Fiber Fancy? Just visit Diana's shop, find something you like, and write about it in the comments section below. We will draw for names on Saturday so go ahead, take your time and pick a few favorites! Remember, we will count your twittering, plurking, facebooking (did I make that word up? lol) as extra entries! Just let me know you did it!

Diana, thank you so much for letting us sample your work. It is truly beautiful to behold and we love having you as a part of our group!

  7. I shopped at Fiber Fancy during my last shopping spree of fiber on Etsy and am sooooo glad I did. I had been crushing on a couple of roving braids for a while and finally bought them! However, it's quite easy to find some new faves as everything is so eye catching. I really love Ruckus merino roving. The colors look like a GREAT transition from summer to fall which I seem to be drawn to right now.

  75. Re: Diane's Fiber Fantasy Etsy Shop.
1st--Thank you so much for bringing these talented (and generous) artists to our attention.

2nd, I did go through her shop and bouught three things. I'm beginning to spin, I knit, and I needle felt (as well as knit & full/felt), so I got her lovely (1) handspun "Yarn in Berries and Creme Twist"; (2) her "Cotswold, Cotswold Locks, Hand Dyed, 2 ounces, Pastel Rainbow" with a note to her that I'd like to get a larger size with the other two colors not in that mix (for needle felting etc.); and (3) a 4 oz " Late Summer Harvest, Alpaca, Merino and More" batt. I really like her colorways and think the Cotswold locks are going to add a great POP! WoW# ZING** (think Batman in the 60s) to any of my needle felting or as an addition to my own batts. Thanks again for the introduction!
