WC Mercantile and Giveaway!

WC Mercantile sent in the most lovely dyed Wensleydale fiber for September! I hope you got a chance to read the story that was included with each sample. It was a tale of a lost lamb and found love- so cute!

If you are new to spinning, Wensleydale is a good choice to start with because of the long staple length. You don't have to draft really fast so you can work on coordinating your treadling and drafting. Having some Wensleydale dyed as nice as this is, couldn't hurt either!

WCMercantile really has everything that you might want in your spinning adventures. Dye stuffs, fiber, Wheels of all types and the fiber selection is amazing!

This week, we're giving away 4 oz dyed Wensleydale wool from WCMercantile! Just visit the shop, do some exploring, and find something you like! Post about it in the comments section below and we'll draw for a winner at the end of the week. Remember to plurk, twitter, facebook, ravelate and blog about this giveaway for extra entries!

Steph
, you've set a standard for yourself this month! I'll be waiting for a fibery good tale in future samples!

  2. As Steph well knows, I am totally addicted to her grab bags - got three more last week (of which my 5yo has claimed all the purple for her own spinning). My next purchase, however, may be the merino/tussah silk top - the colors are so lovely. I'm a sucker for blended coloring rather than stripes or solids...

  11. Ok, that's absolutely gorgeous. Love that color. I love the Merino and Tussah Silk Top - Purple Passion -- well, purple does it for me! I need to buy myself a spinning wheel -- drop spindles may be entertaining, but they're sure a pain with all the unwinding and falling-off-the-end and all that... this shop inspires me. (And so cheap!)
