Spruce trees hand dyed milk protein fiber looks so cool to this overheated Floridian.
ReplyDeleteOh, my goodness, all of them are wonderful! I am almost totally new to spinning, and had one experience with a drop spindle many years ago. I've always wanted to have my own (particularly since I re-enact 17th century Scottish history and drop spinning was huge back then!) but the time never seemed to be right. Now, though . . . both the Black Carbonized Bamboo and the Caribbean Waves are calling my name!! The black is so unusual, and the blue and white is so beautiful -- I can only imagine what they would spin into. Not together, of course :)
ReplyDeleteOh -- I forgot, I also Facebooked this so that my spinning friends could see this wonderful stuff.

Wow, I've wanted to learn how to spin for awhile, but I can't afford to invest in a spindle or learn how to do it. I tweeted about this, and I think that the Black Carbonised Bamboo Top is absolutely gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteMan, that's lovely stuff. I'm digging on the lime and coconut. That combination of fibers, and such a fun, vibrant green!

ReplyDeleteMy fave thing in your shop today is The Mega Bombshell box, I love spinning small amounts of different fibers/batts!
Ooo,so glad I looked, even though I've bought from her before -- lusting after the new ALA alpaca/silk!

ReplyDeleteMorning Glory reminded me of something out of Romeo and Juliet...not sure why and Caribeasn's waves lookes like you would need to make something light and refreshing with it.
Also, I haven't heard of "milk" fiber - but the COLOR and description of the Flamingo...well then I found out its so close to me (I think my LYS recently went there.) Ohhh gonna have to visit. And looking at a spindle for xmas!!!! Thanks again phatfiber!!
Because I don't know how to spin yet, the first thing I looked at was the undyed yarn, which looks heavenly. Then I ventured to look at the top and the roving, and it made me want to learn to spin more than ever. Imagine drafting that amazing Flamingo, watching the colours slide through your fingers. Wow!
