Fiber Fancy Lace Yarn Giveaway!

Though I love discovering new shops and sometimes shopping with a place you've never purchased before is often exciting, I have several "fall back" shops I regularly buy from because I know what I'm going to get. This is the case with Fiber Fancy! I am very excited to see the new yarns Diana is dyeing and offering in her shop!

As some of you know, I'm going through a shawl phase. I am working on 2 right now and I will admit, I like using sock weight yarn because I like to knit them fast. This laceweight that Diana is now offering is beautiful and has a little 'backbone'- it's not the really super thin laceweight that you can find elsewhere. This means you can use a slightly larger needle and expect to be able to knit a little bit faster :)

We're giving away this beautiful skein of 'Wanderer of the Night' today! Please visit Fiber Fancy, go virtual window shopping, find something you love, and write about it in the comments section below and be sure and twitter, facebook, plurk or ravelate about it as well to get extra entries!

  1. Ooooh, beautiful! If I were shopping, this is what I would nab:
Handspun, Two Ply Yarn with Romney, Mohair and Silk in Forest Moss. All her offerings are beautiful and as soon as I learn to spin, that roving is on my list!

This has been a favorite shop of mine for some time. The products are always quality. I am currently waiting on my Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory SAL fiber. ;p

  6. I'm infatuated with the painted pony colorway. Not the usual shades I'm drawn to, but it's so pretty! (ALso, I am a huge sucker for bamboo in my yarn.) Crocus is also really unique, not a combination you typically see.

  13. Wow! Wanderer of the Night is such a lovely name, and the shop is wonderful.

I think my favorite is either the Bamboo blend in Beach Days, Romney, Mohair and Silk in Forest Moss, or Punta Yarn in New York Lights.

    It's so hard to chose.

  16. It's hard to pick only one thing from this shop! So many beautiful things, an even now I'm having to hold back on buying some of the hand-dyed sock yarns.

However, I think the Handspun, Two Ply Polworth Yarn in A Design for Life, truly is just beautiful. There's such a wonderful texture of color there but it comes together in an overall wonderful tone.

  28. All of the yarns are so beautiful and the roving makes me want to learn how to spin. Spinning is on my horizon - I think it has gotten just a bit closer. I am not so very far from Buffalo - perhaps there is a road trip in my future if there is a brick and mortar store as well.
