Sue from the Critter Ranch was inspired by the movie "Gorillas of the Mist" and the lovely silver backed Gorillas that can be found the the African congo. Surprisingly, only a few of our Phatties featured the rainforests of Africa this month! The beautiful black batt is composed of natural black Llama and Alpaca, silver mohair and Llama. The green rainforest batt contains Llama, Alpaca, Bamboo rayon, Mohair, silk and firestar for strength and sparkle.
It's truly lovely carded art!
We're giving away this beautiful batt set. Just visit The Critter Ranch today, find something you love and write about it in the comments section below. We reward extra twittering, fb'ing, plurkng and ravelating with additional entries!
I love space mountain. It's so beautiful I used the photo of it in my "America the Beautiful" treasury on Etsy recently!
ReplyDeleteI Like the "Vines" Falkland combed top :-)
ReplyDelete(FB as well)
The Orchid batt looks so interesting; I don't know how I'd split it up to spin it, there are so many possibilities! I'd already faved the bright and cheerful Violets combed top. And then there's Vines, and Antique Roses, and Fall Trees... I think the question is rather what *wouldn't* I buy if I weren't on a frozen fibre budget until finances are more fluid.
ReplyDeleteRTed too! @owldaughter
it is raining outside and smacks of fall. When I saw the combed top, baby alpaca in fall tree colors I knew it was going to be a perfect day.

Violets and Lilacs - first of all for the colors, but also because I've never tried Punta wool. That would be a fun experience.
ReplyDeleteI'm surprising myself a little by choosing this Combed Top... Falkland.... Orchids and Irises...4oz Hand dyed Braid... as it's not within my ususal spectrum. But I love it. Critter Ranch is one of those shops where it's so hard to leave one page full of beautiful fiber, but you know the next page will have just as much.
