Northstar Alpacas Giveaway and 1000th salebration!

We've been seeing a few of our phatties celebrate special milestones in their shops recently. I'm hoping we can all help Maple of NorthstarAlpacas reach her 1000th sale soon! I just swell with pride when I see our hard working phatties doing well!

Maple will be entering the 25 sales leading up to 1000 into a special giveaway for shop gift certificate and the 24 hours after her 1000th sale will be a special 50% off sale! It's really exciting!

Northstaralpacas
is also featured in the August "Africa" Phat Fiber box and we're giving away this luscious 100% swirled alpaca roving in gorgeous yellows and purples and natural white! Just visit Northstaralpacas, find something you love, and come back here and let us know about it so we can go look too. We'll be drawing this weekend so be sure and let everyone else know about this exciting event!

  1. The mother/daughter alpaca roving is two shades of fawn alpaca swirled together. When I saw it I knew i needed some. The mother alpaca has the same name as my sister Celeste.

  3. I love that it's MICHIGAN DAY on the PhatFiber blog!

I'm such a huge fan of Maple and her lovely creatures. And, actually, I currently have a big sack of gorgeous orange and red alpaca batts on their way to my house!

Looking through her shop, I'd have to say that I'm really lusting after a reserved order of baby alpaca, silk, and angora. Wow, could it get any more soft and luxurious?

Also, thank you, everyone, for all your kind words and allowing me to have a successful business that more than covers my "four legged" expenses. I am truly the most fortunate woman in the world.

There's a package from Northstar Alpacas on it's way to my mailbox. From one point of view, that means I should stay away from the shop and avoid my stash taking over my entire house. From another point of view, the fiber might end up being homesick, so a little more would be a good thing. Like the Woodland Pond?

  32. I love the alpaca/merino roving in Nike - teal and orange. It would be a fun one to spin!

  33. I LOVE your fiber! I love the fiber from Pollux I got awhile back. I should get more once I have money to spare lol

  34. The Woodland Pond roving is calling my name, and the un-named blue and green, as well. I'm also about *this* close to buying her closeout Zotikos handspun! If it's still there when I get back from visiting the LYS that opened up, and I didn't find anything to buy there, then that yarn will be going into my cart.

  35. I really LOVE the giveaway sample best because it has PURPLE!
