This BFL/tussah silk is amazing! It's so soft and Stephanie of WCMercantile has dyed these colors to perfection. Our theme as you know for September is Farmer's Market- these are Stephanie's interpretation of mixed berries and oooh I could just eat them! I love the dark jewel tones in fall, they transition to winter really well.
When Stephanie sent these in, she suggested one could hold two or three of these colors together and draft them together creating a barber pole effect. I think that would be really neat to try- you can see her list grab bags every once in a while, or convo her about creating one just for you.
We're giving away this beautiful 3 oz collection today! Just visit WCMercantile, find something you love, and write about it in the comments section below. We'll count extra tweets, facebook updates, blog posts etc as extra entries for helping spread the good word about WCMercantile!

ReplyDeleteI have new purchased from there but I will now!!!
This is really boring, but I'd probably go for the 1 pound of bare merino top. I still haven't gotten very good at spinning, and I think that would help very much with my spinning.
ReplyDeleteThat being said, I'd love to try the whole barberpoling, but you could also spin up each color then make a marled three-ply.
Yeah, can I have a $100 gift certificate to WC Mercantile plz? Ha! Seriously, though, if I was going to buy something today it would be the camel down and tussah silk! Mmmmm ... Stephanie is JUST AWESOME, and I love an excuse to flit through her shop! Tweeting about this too at southernmystic.jc.
