Namaste Fingerless Mitts Kit Giveaway from Kamasuutra !

Squee!! I'm so excited about this giveaway! I purchased a kit myself and have just started knitting it- so lovely! I think the yarn I have is even brighter and more vibrant in person if that is possible!

I have to admit, I have done hardly any colorwork at all, but this seems doable for some reason, perhaps the excitement I feel over the variegated yarn. Speaking of doable- let me tell you about KamaSuutra's newest line of self striping sock yarns- it's called Maya Magic stripe and it's amazing! If you do socks or mitts with a circumference of 55-66 stitches it stripes every 2 rows. It really is magical! I happen to really love the Evil Genius colorway... just sayin' ;) You can contact Rue and pre-order your Maya Magic yarn and be the first to get some!

We're giving away this gorgeous yarn+pattern kit! Just visit Kamasuutra fiber arts and find something that you love, write about it in the comments section below, and we'll be drawing in a couple of weeks- we're kicking of a big giveaway bash with giveaways every day!

  22. If I wasn't a poor college student, I would snatch up that Tequila Sunrise Cashmere DK in two seconds. That is the most amazing yarn I've ever seen. PLUS! It matches the colors of one of my favorite guppies that I own, also coincidentally named Tequila Sunrise. If that yarn is still there in two months when I graduate and (hopefully) get a job, it is so gone.

    ReplyDelete
  23. Cashmere? *click* Oh my. Cannot resist Lapis in Amalya-Sport Weight. It is amazing. I had to stop looking before I went broke.

  24. Wow... simply WOW! Browsing through her shop I am amazed at her concept, I love it - all of these self striping yarns would be awesome for a baginner like me :) However, the mitts are definatly my favourite. What a beautiful project!

  30. I love the Namaste Fingerless Mitts Kit. It's always nice when a colorwork project has something unexpected in the mix like self stripping yarn that both a warm background and a cool shaded pattern that looks way more complicated then it is. I also love the Jeweled Beatle colorway for its dark black tones that radiate moodiness and monday mornings combined with the jeweled blue-greens that echo of relaxing summer nights spent stargazing. Of course the Lupis colorway in whatever form would have to be an instant favorite of anyone who loved deep moody blues. Sigh...so many yarns, so little time!

Evil Genius is the Steampunk equivalent of James Bond's Q.

In Polite Society, the Lady sports velvets and silks in rich plum, wine and burnished amber. In her lab, Evil Genius can generally be found with coal dust on her face, engine grease under her nails, and pockets full of brass fittings. Watson is secretly in love with her.
