WC Mercantile Bonfire at Night Fiber Giveaway!


OMG is this stuff gorgeous, or what?! Bonfire at Night is a deep Navy merino and a gorgeous, glossy bamboo in gold. I would LOVE to see this spun up- I think it would be gorgeous plied together.

If you haven't visited WCMercantile lately, be prepared to be overwhelmed- but in a very very good way. It's like a big candy shop for spinners! Marcus and I were fortunate to be able to visit over the summer and it was truly amazing!

  7. WC Mercantile has always lots of gorgeous fiber to choose from... Today I choose the Rhythm and Blues Merino and Tussah Silk Top (with a special mention for the Seaweed batt: I've already bought two but every time I see one I'm tempted to buy it!)

  12. There's so much to love in this shop! Someday I hope to get to visit it in person, but not until I save up some extra money, lol. I love the colors in the Artisan Dyed Blue Face Leicester and Tussah Silk Roving - Mixed Berries.

    i'm also loving the recycled carded sari silk, the rusty-colored kettle dyed kid mohair on the front page, and the "curiosity kit" of the bamboo and milk fibers!!
    also, i love spinning silk, it's wonderful......

  19. I live just 20 minutes away from WC Mercantile, so I get to bask in their fiber anytime. My latest favorite is their dye your own Merino Tencel yarn. I have 2 sets of their Seaweed art batt and have purchased several of their dyed merino rovings. Everything is always wonderful!

    They were one of the first stores on Etsy that I faved. Very affordable pricing, lovey colors, a wide range of fibers, as well as, equipment to play with those fibers!
    Oh yeah, FREE shipping...that goes a looonng way now-a-days.

  31. These guys have some awesome stuff, and I love the "Free Shipping"! I've got my eye on some of the Falkland wool top dyed with some rich pinks, oranges and hints of green. Looks like a rose all wrapped up.

  36. I just added this fiber to my wish list last night. This is my favorite right now, BONFIRE AT NIGHT. I see so many possibilites of this being an amazing art yarn by adding some fun fur, beads, twists, ..... so many ideas.
