ReplyDeleteI bought my first spindle from Kaylan several months ago and I fell in love IMMEDIATELY - which was odd, because I had tried other spindles and H.A.T.E.D them.
ReplyDeleteHer spindles are beautifully balanced, crafted with love, and make the most wonderful fibers!! I'm currently working on a shawl made with fibers spun on my dyed Jade spindle from wild card.
I bought another friend her first spindle from Kaylan - why? Because I know she will FALL IN LOVE with the product.
Payday is friday... I think I'm getting some of Kaylan's stitch markers! :) I'm in love with the green w/stars.

ReplyDeletePRE-ORDER: Beaded Filagree Flower - Bottom Whorl LACE spindle
This listing is for a PRE-ORDER of a Hand Beaded, Filagree Flower Bottom Whorl Drop Spindle for the July theme of Phat Fiber. I currently have a limited quantity of the spindles, but would be happy to get supplies for more if there is enough interest. This pre-order is open to let me know how many whorls I need to get my hands on!
The cost for the spindles will be $30. I'm asking for a $5 deposit now to reserve your spindle. So, you'll pay the $5 now and when the spindles are ready to ship I will post reserved listings for the remaining $25 and shipping ($5 US, $7 International).
I'll leave pre-orders open until July 13th and the spindles will ship on July 15th!
The spindles are available on the Rosewood shaft as pictured, or a lighter maple color. Default will be the rosewood, if you would like light please make a note of that in the note to seller!
If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to let me know.
THESE SPINDLES ARE VERY, VERY LIGHTWEIGHT. They average around 8 grams, give or take an ounce. They are for very fine laceweight spinning. They do not spin for long periods of time, they don't have the mass to do so. If you want a little more weight, please note that in the notes to seller and I can bead both top and bottom of the whorl- that will add about 2 grams and $10 to the price.
I also have many colors of glass beads available. I'm happy to take requests, just send me a conversation
*******
The spindle photographed is not the spindle you will be receiving. You will receive one similar. Same size, same pattern of beads and shaft- but there may be some slight variance.
SPINDLE WILL NOT SHIP UNTIL JULY 15TH! If you need a spindle sooner than that, please feel free to check out my other listings!
