Out of Step Dyeworks DKyarn giveaway!


I used to say "happiness is hand knit socks on a cold day". I think I will amend it to "happiness is handknit anything made from Out of Step Dyework's MCN DK yarn especially in the Nanobot colorway" (pictured above!). This stuff is a dreamy blend of superwash merino and cashmere! And doesn't everything you want to knit require DK weight yarn?

I am lately developing and unhealthy obsession with the colors gray and purple. Looking at Out of Step Dyeworks' etsy shop this morning is not helping abate it! I love all of Amy's work, but I'm really yarn crushing on her October Phat Fiber box submissions!

We're giving away this beautiful skein of DK yarn (cashmere, people!) in the Nanobot colorway today.     These yarns look delightfully sproingy! I really like both 12 Bar Blues and Nanobot. The Glimpses Of yarns are really interesting, but I don't know if they would knit up awesome or awkward.

    Okay, let's just say all the colorways are amazing, but what about this: Heart of Gold- 1oz Hand Painted Tussah Silk Top? It literally looks like gold. It is begging to be spun and knitted into a shawl named...Rumpelstiltskin!

    Oh man, when you click on the link to her etsy shop, the colors just jump off the screen. I think my heart skip a beat when I saw the MCN DK Yarn in Black Rose Sept Phat Fiber. I can see myself knitting a shawl from the pale gray color you are giving away.

    I absolutely love the DK Weight Hand Painted Yarn- Glimpses of Serannian from out of step dyeworks! All of her work is amazing but i especially love the high contrast of black with peekaboos of bright purple and bright pink. It is so fun and I'm sure it'd knit up brilliantly!

    I am a fan of any yarn that reminds me of a dark but beautiful thunderstorm, therefore, my favorite is the Hand Dyed BFL Sock Yarn- Dusky Purple, and though I do not knit, I added the Vertebral Socks Kit- Zombie Apocalypse Yarn and Knitting Pattern in a treasury a few months back, and it was the first item to be sold from that treasury. I just loved the colors as well as the zombie theme :) !

    There are a lot of lovely colors in there, however my favorite is "Hand Dyed BFL Sock Yarn- Dagon".
    I admittedly have a bit of an obsession with blue variegated yarns, and this one has great colors and contrast, love it!
