I have been a NStar fan for a while. I find it really difficult to pick just one "item". I actually think the coolest part is being able to read the posts about your real alpacas that made the fiber to begin with! And I love all your dyeing posts-I never realized you could dye in crockpots.
ReplyDeleteNaming one thing that I love is impossible!
ReplyDeleteI love all of the baby alpaca fiber..... it makes my handspun yarn so incredibly soft!
And I love Meredith's potholders, and that you list them here for her.

First, I love that they list the alpaca's name in the description! That's so neat and brings it back to the fact that there's an animal who is producing the fiber for us. It's a natural link that I often overlook when I purchase my fiber for knitting.
ReplyDeleteI also really loved the colors in the carded batts! They're so shiny, which surprised me, in a very good way.
The last thing I thought I'd mention is that it's great to have another option for those who are allergic to wool. This is a fiber I'd consider luxurious and perfect for spoiling the special knitters in my life.
Yum Yum Yum!!! I'm addicted to Maples' gorgeous raw alpaca - I use it in all of my shop batts too, because THAT's how wonderful it is!
