I'm missing my friend Dawn of Dawning Dreams this week! She and her lovely family usually visit the area where I live around this time and I get to spend some time with her. Visiting her beautiful shop today, will have to tide me over!
Dawning Dreams makes incredible hand crafted gear drop spindles. These spindles are quite sought after as of late and featured by larger suppliers like The Woolery for their quality. Each are unique, and individually signed.
If you would like to be entered to win this drop spindle, please visit Dawning Dreams today, find something you love, and write about it in the comment section below. We'll be counting your extra social networking on pinterest, facebook, twitter, plurk, google+ etc as entries. Please let us know where you've cross posted!

Ooooh, so many pretty things!!!!! I would love to win this spindle.
ReplyDeleteAs for my favorites, I love Top Drop Spindle with Metal Red detal, 1.7 oz / 47 g (it was sold, but I still love it!).
For yarn I like Hand Painted Superwash BFL Silk Lace Yarn, 875 yards/ 100 grams in Burgundy.
In roving, I like Merino Wool and Bamboo/Rayon Roving, 4 oz, Fountain Penny. I also like Bamboo/Rayon Roving, 4 oz Venetian Nights.
I prefer roving, but in the batts, I really like the blue and purple Merino Wool Batt, 3 oz.
See what I mean? Too many pretty things!!!! LOL

I've been admiring the Flower Fatal drop spindle for awhile now.

ReplyDeleteI didn't know about this shop. Love everything -- especially the batts -- so many pretty color combinations.
I LOVE the drop spindle called Snowflakes! It reminds me of my favorite time of year -- Winter -- not this dreaded humid and muggy summer. Blegh!
This is the first I have seen these spindles, I love them, when I come off of my spindle diet, one is going to have to come live with me, I really liked the one with the pink accents on the whorl.
ReplyDeleteI love the Aquarius batts and the Sea batts too! And, of course, the spindles. All of them LOL.
ReplyDeleteI loooove this shop--it is my first visit but not my last. I love the To Drop Spindle with the caterpillar and the starfish!! Thanks, Cindy aka scgil2
ReplyDeleteEvery one of these spindles is stunning!
ReplyDeleteI like the pinwheel spindle - it just seems so appropriate.
ReplyDeletehotknitter
Top Drop Spindle in Flower Fatal, that's the one. I love the black vine design.
ReplyDeleteI like the Top Drop Spindle in Flower Fatal, 0.95 oz / 27 g
ReplyDeleteLovely items in this shop! Love the spindle shown and this batt Merino Wool Batt in "Suit Urself", 3 oz.
ReplyDeleteI love the spindles in the Etsy shop with the enamel dots on the outer rim! Such a clever design and must look amazing while it's spinning!
ReplyDeleteI also wonder if the dots are heavy enough to provide some weight and balance to the spindle? It seems a clever design that way also!

Oh, I love so many of the spindles but the drop spindle with silver speckled glass is gorgeous!

I love all the spindles! My favorite batt is the Catwoman 2! I would love to win a new spindle!
ReplyDeleteI don't think there's one thing they have that I don't love, but if I had to choose it'd be the drop spindle with grey enamel dots. It reminds me of outer space for some reason.
ReplyDeleteI love the Drop Spindle with Green and Blue Stone. Gorgeous!wqualim11484
ReplyDeleteI need a drop spindle as I want to learn to spin and already have the roving. In addition to their great spindles, I like the Bubbling fountain yarn
ReplyDeleteThe ones with the space age enamel dots look like they'd be gorgeous spinning! Really though, the steampunk-y drop spindle with dark pink stone is my favorite. :)
ReplyDeleteHow gorgeous! I only have one drop spindle that works well for me--the second one I own is too lightweight for my current skill level--and I should expand my collection.
ReplyDeleteI can't pick just one thing to love in their Etsy shop! The colors are amazing, the drop spindles are truly works of art, and the yarn just looks incredible. I'm running out of positive adjectives and I don't want to get repetitive, but if I can't get my hands on some of their roving soon, I'll have to take up lace knitting and buy their yarns!
Awwwww- why did you share the link to this site? Haven't been game to show my husband yet - but feeling like a moth gazing into the light of "so many pretty things". I'm in serious trouble here, hoping I can remember where I've hidden the credit card. Not a blue fan normally but I adore the "Wool and Bamboo Batt in " Aquarius", 3 oz" batt....
ReplyDeleteThe spindles are gorgeous, but the batts also :) I like the Merino Wool Batt, 3 oz in colourway 'Pop of Peach'.
ReplyDeleteI love the Hand-painted Superwash Merino Lace Yarn, 875 yards/ 100 grams. It's gorgeous and I bet it wold be awesome to knit with.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the chance to win the spindle. What a work of art!
