Designs by Tami Jewelry Giveaway

This month we have two Designs by Tami Giveaways. You're entering both giveaways when you enter on this post. I will draw two winners from the entries. If you prefer one or other of the prizes and your name is drawn as the 1st winner, you can choose your prize, just include your choice in your comment.

We have a resin art cuff bangle bracelet with literary/skull imagery. She has one on her site that is Alice in Wonderland bangle that I keep bringing back up. These are so pretty and the little clasp will keep them on your wrist.

We also have a custom set of knitting needles with cute little polymer ghosts on top. One is holding a wee little pumpkin. These needles are 3.5mm (size US 4) and they're long. I didn't measure them, but they look to be at least 10" long.

Fairy Tale Wool Giveaway

Silke from Fairy Tale Wool sent us a fun little travel spindle with wool for this giveaway. This is the perfect collapsible spindle for taking on your next trip. I love taking spinning and knitting with me when I'm traveling.

She says on the product page: "I wanted to offer a low-budget, no frills, easy collapse spindle that you can take anywhere. The yarn notch is integrated into the dowelling so no unnecessary part is sticking out. Hight 11.5 inch/ 29cm, diameter of whorl 3.25 inch/ 8.5 cm."

I love that these are flat without a metal hook. You can put them in your regular project bag or flat in your suit case. This giveaway also comes with a rainbow of fluff.

Broadway Creations Rolag Giveaway

Jessica at Broadway Creations sent us a full set of her October Phat Fiber rolags. These are fun and weird to spin up. The colors are beautifully deep, as there's a soft grey, rich blue, and sparkly blue angelina.

I'm not a big fan of the way carbonized bamboo feels as it's sliding against itself before gliding into the orifice. It's such a strange feeling... like sliding your hand along velvet, it's grabby but it's still really soft. The fiber content on these rolags is Corriedale, bamboo, soffsilk, and angelina.

As much as I am not sure I enjoy the way it feels as I spin it, is the exact opposite reflection of how wonderful the yarn turns out. I spun up a few of these for yarn only boxes this past month. The yarn is absolutely beautiful, soft, and fine. I was so happy to send these little skeins to their new homes.

Full Circle Artworx Giveaway

Our third giveaway of this round is from Full Circle Artworx. We have another beautiful yarn that would be fun to see how it is knit (or crochet) up!

This yarn is beautifully dyed. I'm loving the variation from pink to salmony orange. Included is a fun halloween themed stitch marker set! This is a light fingering weight 3 ply yarn that is 100% Superwash Merino Wool, 490 yards/100gms. It's called Little Devil.

Stacie always sends us lovely fluff samples for our boxes. I enjoy sharing her yarn as well. I hope you enjoy perusing her shop!

FiberQuirks Batt Giveaway

The next giveaway is absolutely wonderful. Deborah from FiberQuirks has been a contributor for almost every month since I started this journey just over a year ago. This is our first giveaway from her. I'd love for her to receive lots of traffic and sales from our little group of fiber lovers.

This is a batt from FiberQuirks Tarot Series. This one is called "Death" and it is a smooth blend of BFL and fine merino in shades of black, teal, and turquoise.

I had the pleasure of spinning a few of the rolags that Deborah sent in for the October Phat Fiber box. They were so soft. The yarn spun woolen made a fine but soft two ply yarn that I found absolutely blissful to spin. I was surprised to find that the fibers were soft through and through. The colors were beautiful too. The blues comes through with a deep backdrop of black.

The Homestead Hobbyist, Let's start with our newest contributor!

We are still using Giveaway Tools to help us manage the giveaways. The plus is that the tool keeps track of all of your entries and then pulls a winner for me at the end. If there's something better out there, I'd love help finding it. I will be creating a little giveaway tutorial a little later in the month. Perhaps that will help us work out the kinks.

Okay, this first giveaway is so beautiful from The Homestead Hobbyist. I'd love to keep this yummy yarn to myself! Here's a link to the product on his site: Crime Scene Collection, Bloodstain.

Here's a little description from the The Homestead Hobbyist:

This yarn is small-batch spun at a mill near Seattle from small-batch, custom-designed blends of fiber.
This skein is 460 yards of fingering-weight 3-ply yarn in the Bloodstain colorway from my Crime Scene Collection of Savage Blends.

The Crime Scene Collection contains:
Superfine 18.5 Micron Merino 37.5% Shetland 37.5% Mulberry Silk 25%
This skein is a gory blend of fresh blood-reds with a bit of texture and a smooth, fluffy finish.

The color is gorgeous and rich. The fibers are so soft. You'll love this yarn!

Plum Crazy Fiber Art Giveaway

This gorgeousness is mink fiber from Plum Crazy Fiber Art. I did a little research to learn about how mink is collected. It's much like angora in that the fiber is combed.

This is a natural brown, soft fawn color. You won't believe how soft this fiber is. For 1/2 ounce there's quite a bit here. I think this would be best blended into a longer stapled soft wool. I think I would blend it with Cormo. Maybe a nice deep green cormo carded together with this amazing mink fiber.

I found a lighter off white color in her shop as well. I think I will need to go shopping soon...
