Color Bug Kool Aid Dyed Merino Giveaway!
Have you wanted to try dyeing fiber, but the term "acid dye" scares you a little? Did you know you can use Kool Aid?! Ann of Color Bug Yarns has put together a lovely kool aid dye kit in her shop- almost everything you need to get started, complete with instructions. This is safe enough to use with kids (just don't drink the Kool Aid!) and as easy as dyeing Easter eggs!!
I absolutely love Color Bug Yarns. Ann's colorways are intense, joyful, and she uses really lovely bases for her work. Every time Ann comes up with a new colorway, I say to myself- yes! That is my favorite! So, they're all my favorite.
But, I'm going to make it difficult for you here, I want you to visit Color Bug Yarns, find one thing you really love, and write about it in the comments section below. We'll draw for a winner of this Kool Aid Dyed braid of merino, later in the week. Be sure and use Facebook and Twitter and let everyone know about Color Bug Yarns for extra entries!

Difficult indeed! So many gorgeous choices. I love the "A Beautiful Butterfly" Colourway, especially on the Corriedale X. Gladiolus is also just gorgeous! And Poppy, and, and, and.... :)
My favorite would have to be the "A Beautiful Butterfly" sock yarn. That's also my daughter's favorite book... whoops! I think I just accidentally bought it...
My favourite is the maritime colourway! It just pops out! Wonderful colours :)
My favorite is Poppy! I might be going back to purchase that beauty this morning :)
I love the colours in the Stella sock Blue Marble but I think my first purchase would have to be the Learn to Spin Kit. I am hoping to get one of these soon.

The "Piper sock - Limonite" is beautiful. I bet it looks awesome once knitted or crocheted up!
beautiful butterfly wins in my book
I haven't yet tried to dye yarn, only fabric. I'd love to try someday.
I love the colors of the sock yarns in the shop, especially the Koi colorway. And the Silk and Merino - 2OAK yarn is to die for!

I love the Midsummer Night's Dream.
I recently bought a braid of corriedale in Colorbug's "Koi" and that was a full-stop winner for me in terms of color combinations. In addition to that being my favorite,it's a toss-up between the maritime and koi sock yarns. Something about aqua and orange make me happy. She ALSO has fantastic customer service.
That WAS tough, but I'm going to pick the Beautiful Butterfly sock yarn. Because it's ERIC CARLE inspired!!! :) :) :)
Alphabatt and Chandelier are beautiful batts!

I really love Ann's Koi colorway... so much I might buy some more from her at some point ;)
Difficult task you had us performing here :)
After drolling for way too long at all the items I'd have to say I like the Piper sock Gladiolus yarn. I can't pass on anything that has warm, vibrant colors (can you imagine what my baby knits look like?) so this one really inspired me today.
"Midsummer night's dream"-beautiful mix of purple and green. And I love spinning BFL...

There are just so many...the Gladiolus really caught my eye. The DIY kit is a fantastic idea as well. I've just started playing with kool-aid dyeing myself, and it's really cool and easy!
I think the kool aide dye kit, with the little packages of kool aide and the gloves, is hilarious. Wonderful idea.
I love the yarns and fibers in A Midsummer Night's Dream colorway and the Stella Sock in Blue Marble.
My favorite it the Piper sock - A Beautiful Butterfly. All those colors are amazing
I love the Piper sock yarn in Koi - lovely combination of blues and oranges.
Beautiful Butterfly would have to be my favorite! Very colorful.
Shared with my friends on facebook! Thanks for the chance to win.
I love the bfl superwash, midsummer night's dream! Wow, the intensity of the blues and greens is just wonderful!
I absolutely am in LOVE with the A beautiful butterfly sock yarn. It reminds me of the story of Noah in the bible and how, after the flood, God said that the rainbow was a promise that he would never again flood the world.
Rainbows are my favorite colors because of this part of the bible and because they are beautiful and amazing. Every time I see a rainbow I make my husband stop so I take photos and post them to my photobucket and share them with my family and friends. The last one was amazing. It stood straight up into the air and disappeared into a cloud. Absolutely amazing! I can't wait to post it to show my mother :)
