North Star Alpacas Tribute Yarn giveaway!

I love LOVE Northstar Alpacas. Maple and her lovely fiber animals have been contributing to the Phat Fiber experience since darn near the very beginning. I feel like I know the animals on Maple's small Michigan farm through the photo cards of them with every item she creates. I think Tribute the Alpaca is my favorite. His picture is so proud and floofy and his fiber is just sooo soft and yummy!

We're giving away this beautiful, amazing, gorgeous 75% Alpaca 25% Merino Tribute yarn today. It's 250 yards of lofty worsted weight bliss, I tell you. Please visit NorthStarAlpacas today, find something you love, write about it in the comments section below and you'll be entered to win this beautiful yarn. I will award extra entries to those who twitter/facebook about this as well.

I love everything from Maple and her fiber friends! I am seriously considering the Layers in Luxury batts and maybe some of Sparty's fleece in Grape!

My "Maple stash" is too big to allow me to buy more, but these batts: 'Layers of Luxury - Alpaca and Angora Batts from midMichigan' surely do make it hard (as everything in her shop)

Posted on FB as well

The Layers of Luxury batts looks tempting. Judging from everything else I've bought from North Star Alpacas, they will be at least as nice in person.

Ooh, I love the brown and white swirl 100% alpaca roving. Gorgeous!

I love Sparty's fleece in Grape and Target's fleece that has been dyed RosySalmon.

Thanks for all the lovely comments, friends, and for your kind words, Jessie. I think your camera might be a little off though. Tribute's yarn is gray ☺

Ooh, the "Grape HandDyed Alpaca Fleece from Sparty - 4 ounces" is a wonderful color. I'd have to learn to process it first, though! New hobby, anyone?

Carnival Baby alpaca-220 yds
HandDyed HomeGrown Alpaca Yarn-250 yds-Homestead
Handspun Brown Alpaca yarn-324 yds
(it's the medium fawn brown with the gold color in it).

The Soft fawn homegrown alpaca yarn looks just divine. Squishy and soft - perfect for a snuggly cowl!

The handwoven alpaca and silk scarf is stunning - such a perfect combination of detail and minimalism, and I bet it feels wonderful. There's a pink and white batt that I wouldn't object to having as well. Actually, I'll just take the whole inventory.

I love the sapphire and plum alpaca roving! I'd be getting it if I didn't have vet bills to pay. I also really like it when I know the name of the animal the fiber is coming from - I don't know why, just seems more personal, I guess!
