WC Mercantile bfl/tussah fiber giveaway!

WCMercantile has a new look to their website! It's really quite beautiful! It's really easy to navigate, and I must say, when I see pages of spinning wheels, my little heart starts to flutter!

We're giving away WCMercantile's gorgeous contribution to the Bollywood box: "My Love is Gone0 Arya 2" which is a beautifully dyed superfine merino/bfl/tussah silk and Ramie blend. It's super super soft and would be just a dream to spin!

To enter to win this top, please visit WCMercantile, find something you love and write about it in the comments below. We'll be drawing for a winner labor day weekend, so please twitter/facebook/plurk this for an extra entry!

The giveaway is my favorite. Though if I could afford it I want one of the spinning wheels after a lengthy try out on each of them.

The WC Mercantile is a wonderful, cozy, shop. If you get the chance, you should definitely go! They very recently got me started on the drop spindle and I hope to own a wheel soon because I can't get enough! Would love to try my hand at spinning bfl/tussah!

Wow! Love the website! (bookmarked it) The Kromski Polonaise would be awesome to spin on.

Ok, so dreaming big here - I don't have any wheel spinning experience but I have to say, in drooling over wheels, I think the Kromski Fantasia is just so unique and elegant. So I'd have to say, on a big wish - I LOVE it. :)

Can I be rather mundane and say I'd love to have an Ashford Niddy Noddy and a Lazy Kate. I'm currently missing those two accessories!

My all time favorite item was the sampler of non-wool fibers I bought last year, but I'm also pretty fond of the "Aggie" dyed Merino. It spun up to a lovely squooshy 2 ply worsted weight, and will be part of a hat for my husband (class of '09!). I love the color so much I will be ordering more for me someday too!

Well, I am on quite a natural color kick, so I'd go for the black BFL top, which is more of a warm gray/brown. And, you know, if money were no object, I'd have to go for one of the smaller, portable spinning wheels, like the Ashford Joy or the Schacht Ladybug!

The Knotty Spinster said...

I love the batts they create and all the wheels that they sell. Its hard to find a place with such variety.
