Hilltop Cloud Cream Tea Giveaway!

This lovely Merino/British BFL/ Baby Alpaca/ Tussah Silk/ Angelina blend fiber is called "Cream Tea" by Katie of Hilltop Cloud. This giveaway has been a long time coming! When Katie sent in this amazing fiber- she also included a packet of REAL British Tea and a beautiful recipe for proper cream tea and scones. She's so nice! Now, I know everyone is gearing up for TDF this year, but let me tell you, you have time to order from Hilltop Cloud and have it get here to include in your spinning! Just take a look at all that British wool you could be playing with during TDF! Please visit Hilltop Cloud today, find something you love, and write about it in the comments section below. We'll count those extra twitter/facebook/pinterest updates as entries!

I'm not sure if I like the natural colors more or the dyed fibers - so I'll choose as my favorite one that has elements of both - the Blue Spinning Fiber - Wool Roving Merino, Massam, Baby Alpaca in 'Deep' colorway. Love the brilliant true blue in this especially when mixed with the grays of the fibers. Gorgeous!

Blackcurrant Velvet is beautiful.

I don't think there is much on Hilltop Cloud's site I don't love. I picked a gradient roving Amethyst, of merino, silk, and shetland as a favorite. I believe I will be ordering some of the British wools to try them out before long.

yarnmagic on Ravelry said...

I'm passionate about teal, so Awyr immediately caught my eyes. The fiber mix is interesting too: Merino, British Masham wool, Tussah Silk and Angelina.
Also, lately I've been thinking of inviting a couple of friends over for an introduction to spindle spinning. Wouldn't it be awesome on a dark and rainy fall day, to light a fire in the fireplace and let them play with some colorful fiber? With the drop spindle kits from HilltopCloud there's no way they wouldn't enjoy it!
