WC Mercantile and Giveaway!
WC Mercantile sent in the most lovely dyed Wensleydale fiber for September! I hope you got a chance to read the story that was included with each sample. It was a tale of a lost lamb and found love- so cute!
If you are new to spinning, Wensleydale is a good choice to start with because of the long staple length. You don't have to draft really fast so you can work on coordinating your treadling and drafting. Having some Wensleydale dyed as nice as this is, couldn't hurt either!
WCMercantile really has everything that you might want in your spinning adventures. Dye stuffs, fiber, Wheels of all types and the fiber selection is amazing!
This week, we're giving away 4 oz dyed Wensleydale wool from WCMercantile! Just visit the shop, do some exploring, and find something you like! Post about it in the comments section below and we'll draw for a winner at the end of the week. Remember to plurk, twitter, facebook, ravelate and blog about this giveaway for extra entries!
Steph, you've set a standard for yourself this month! I'll be waiting for a fibery good tale in future samples!

EEE I love the Lemon Drop merino top! And omg it rhymes!!!! YAY! RTed @millarca
As Steph well knows, I am totally addicted to her grab bags - got three more last week (of which my 5yo has claimed all the purple for her own spinning). My next purchase, however, may be the merino/tussah silk top - the colors are so lovely. I'm a sucker for blended coloring rather than stripes or solids...

I love the merino and tussah silk in the Mackenzie tartan colorway!
Love the Bright Tropic Firestar and would love to try a grab bag.
I've bought quite a few fibers from WC Mercantile in the past. I've bought some beautiful coral indyspun, 2 bags of undyed mohair locks, undyed bamboo, etc. She always ships really fast and plus it's free!
So many things to like:
Ashford Kiwi
4 oz. Organic Cotton Sliver
1 POUND Merino Top - SuperSoft -
Cindy
I'm in love with the baby camel down/tussah blend. Such a lovely warm color!
WC is my favorite online shop. I have bought lots of superfine merino, and really love it. It's alwasy very well prepared.
I would love to try their aplaca, natural. I love to hand dye.
Ok, that's absolutely gorgeous. Love that color. I love the Merino and Tussah Silk Top - Purple Passion -- well, purple does it for me! I need to buy myself a spinning wheel -- drop spindles may be entertaining, but they're sure a pain with all the unwinding and falling-off-the-end and all that... this shop inspires me. (And so cheap!)
I don't know how to spin (yet...) so I picked this yarn (not that I know how to dye, either): http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=29002299
I'm intrigued by the botanical dyeing kit.
I like the Deep Sea merino/tencel blend.
The Dark Garnet merino top looks lovely, as do the 2 oz portions of yearling mohair. Might just have to try some as I've never handled mohair...
i love the richness of the fenberry grove merino top. gorgeous.
Just love WC Mercantile! Right now this Bright Green Firestar is catching my eye! :-D
Forever in Bluejeans!!!
I'm ordering it now!!!!!
The blue and red indie dyed milk top. Delicious!
so much goodness!~ but ive never spun cotton so i would try the organic cotton sliver - variety!
They've got some much good stuff it's hard to pick!! I do like they're BFL roving.....been eyeing it for awhile now ;)
It is so hard to choose, she has so many lovely things in the shop! I would probably choose one of the white rovings, as I have dyes to play with and no roving.
Ooh, the merino-tussah in Mackenzie tartan... It's so pretty!
I'd love to try 2 oz Baby Camel Down and Tussah Silk Top - Free Shipping

Ooo, so many pretty things... the teal Tartan Corriedale top, the gold and green yearling mohair roving, and the botanical dye kit. What a lovely shop!
I puffy heart the "Texas Rose" roving! It scrumptious!
And all the majacraft are making my fingers twitch. To have so many to choose from. I just got a new wheel, and can't have another. Grr. . .
My head started spinning over all the fibers ~ they look so inviting. I have to say, though, the Baby Camel Down and Tussah Silk Top looks absolutely swoon-worthy!

I love the Hazy Horizon Merino Top.
I've bought some of her merino top before (I believe the last time you mentioned her) and it's beautiful and wonderful to spin! I definitely may have to go back and grab some that Bright Green Firestar though, gorgeous stuff!
Felting Wool Artist's Pallet 3
Those colors could make some awesome stuff.
If I get Undyed Merino and Silk Yarn I can try dying it! More stuff to spend money on!
The bright green is on my list for sure. Would love to spin that up
I'm definitiely remembering WC Mercantile for undeyed goods! Especially for teaching beginning spinning! I love the merino top in Fenberry Grove and Midnight - yum!

the undyed merino silk looks lucious!
Sheesh, I mean c'mon...I'd love to play with that Ashford Joy, and then all the copious amounts of fiber...is there anything I wouldn't want, UMmmm No?
I am really loving the Merino/Silk top! Especially the Hint of Lilac 70/30 blend. Mackenzie Tartan is also beautiful.
I definitely like Midnight Garden...
There are lots of lovely things there, and I can feel an order coming on...
The mystery bag of rovings, tops and batts is great. I love a mystery! Who knows what you'd find?
If I had tons of money, I could spend it all in that shop! I love so many things . . . I'd love to try the tussah/merino blend and her prices on undyed fiber are great! I also love the felters' sample packs - colorful bits are always great for the needle felters in this house!
I love WC Mercantile! I'm tempted by the 3 oz Mystery Bag of Rovings, Tops, and Batts in different Fibers. How fun!
