Gale's Art Tussah Silk Giveaway!
Ah the rain we had earlier in the week has cooled us off and things are so fresh and spring like around here again. I don't know which is prettier, the warm glow of a spring morning or the soft luminescence of this tussah silk from Gale's Art!
I always find great inspiration while looking at Gale's Art. I can't put my finger on it, but her colors have a certain "signature" that is unique to her. I consider this a very much desired feature when I buy hand dyes. I like to look through my stash and though the tag/label may be hidden I know immediately where this fiber/yarn came from.
I have so much fun using Gale's Art. I know whomever gets this beautiful 2 oz of tussah silk wrapped in a hand dyed silk kerchief, will also know the same joy! Please visit Gale's Art, find something you love, and write about it in the comments section below. We'll be drawing for a winner on Friday, so please help yourself by letting everyone else know about how wonderful Gale is on twitter, facebook, ravelry etc.

Oh, Gale knows how addicted I am to her gorgeous colors! I keep coming back for more...
Actually, my current favorite isn't listed in the shop right now: Moldy Pumpkin fiber. It's probably all for the best -- if she listed several I'm afraid I'd have to buy them. ;)
Oh wow, those are some glorious colors. I like the "Deep Blue Sea" roving
Her deep blue sea sock yarn would be my first choice. Great colors and great names for the colors!
Gale's work is SO beautiful. I have the good fortune of spinning with her locally (when she's not galavanting around shows). I'm looking forward to the next carding party and getting to see even more of her work.
You're right - her colors are quite distinctive and I LOVE the brights. Her silk hankies are one of my favorites.
Thanks for the opportunity!
I've been coveting her crayon box colorway for some time now!
I love the cherry blossom sock yarn!
I love the Deep blue Sea roving myself
What a gift she has with color. Her Opal rovings are amazing.
The color box colorway is so cheerful and bright in both the roving and the sock yarn bases.
Wow, I love everything! I especially love her Opal roving. The colors are SO me, and so gorgeous!
Cherry Blossom roving looks simple delicious!
This made my day. I think I'd get Grapevine or Moldy Pumpkin.

I've got to go with the roving - opal (blue face swirl). The colors are just too pretty. :)
The Velvet Elvis roving would be so much fun to work with.
Wow! The Polwarth in "dusty" really caught my eye. Pretty!!
I love her Moldy Pumpkin colorway (have a yummy braind in my stash), but, as now it isn't listed, I choose Velvet Elvis.

Pretty, pretty colours! I like Velvet Elvis BFL swirl and Cherry Blossom brown BFL.
I love Gale's Art! Her stuff is great. Soft, colorfast, and spins great. If I wasn't allergic to wool I would love to have the Velvet Elvis colorway.
The Velvet Elvis roving is fabulous!
Cherry Blossom and Deep Blue Sea are wonderful examples of overdyed brown roving. What a great way to take advantage of the natural warm undertones! I also really like the Dusty colorway.
I, too, love the Velvet Elvis. Yes, her colors are gorgeous! Though, I gotta say, I just adore anything where humor and whimsy are involved. How she came by the influence for the title of the colorway is very funny! Ya know, you could do a whole series of fibers based on Elvis' costumes alone?!
(Speaking of...today's word veri is "dizar"..doncha love it!)
oh my that opal roving is absolutely beautiful
Deep sea blue roving is so spectacular ! I just love it.
I'm loving Dusty. Just me feel all warm inside.
oooo.. Can i just say that twist of silk? :( i've not yet tried silk... Ok, ok how about that opal braid!
Love, love the Scarab sock yarn. Beautiful colors!
gorgeous, but i love the fiber batt featured, reminds me of a fall wooden box of apples! Or maybe even a rhubarb pie!
her sock yarn Grape vine is beautiful.
lotsofhermies on Ravelry
Moldy Pumpkin. Don't you love that name. It is a beautiful colorway. I also like Velvet Elvis.
The opal roving is beautiful!
i've had my eye on Gale's Art rovings since i got my first PF box in April. she had a blueface swirl in the colorway "Scarab" that i really wanted but someone came and snatched it before i save up enough to get it :<
in her shop currently though i adore the bf swirl in the "Opal" colorway. i just got my first braid of GA roving from a MamaJude destash and it is BUTTER soft. my next fibre purchase will probably be from Gale.
I love all of her colors in the sock yarn. My favorites would be Grapevine, Scarab, and of course Deep Blue Sea.
I'm really digging the BFLs. Great shop and great items!
Deep Blue Sea for me.

that cherry blossom sock yarn would be perfect for my red-loving son!
I really like the roving - Dusty (polwarth). The colros are warm and earthy.

I think it's the color values, she is not afraid to overdye brown and grey fibers and that gives her stuff a characteristic look that other dyers don't have because she brings the concept of color values, not jus hues, into all her dyeing. I'm especially fond of the "deep blue" roving but I love silk and would love having that too.
Years ago I used a lot of blue - that color would have attracted me whether I was looking for clothes, yarn or something else. Then I sort of took a break and explored a lot of other colors. But now I find myself noticing blues again and the Velvet Elvis roving catches my eye. But so does the Cherry Blossom sock yarn. I'd definitely like to get my hands on that!
Beautiful shop! I had the pleasure of seeing Gale's products in person at the MDSW. I particularly like the Velvet Elvis.
I love the Grape Vine sock yarn. Gorgeous colors.
I love all of Gale's work. The Velvet Elvis is just screaming to be mine.
I couldn't chose just one! Moldy pumpkin, grapevine, I have a hard time choosing, they are look scrumptious! Love the little bunny, too! Angela

I love polworth and roving - Dusty is different and looks like something I'd enjoy to mellow out with!
