Seven Yaks Super Giveaway!

Have you visited Seven Yaks lately? There are some 15 pages full of yarnie and fibery wonderfulness!
Lynne has been busy recovering from an appearance at the Great Lakes Fiber show and will be listing some items that made it home with her soon!
I recently stocked up on some knitting needles and a spinning diz and it must have made it's way to the bottom of my fiber bin- I haven't had a chance to use it and I'm waiting for my stash bin to cough it back up. You wouldn't know anyone else with stash problems, would you? *wink*
Seven Yaks sent in the most beautiful fuchsia colored cashmere noils in the May box! So soft, it made me want to go buy a drum carder!
We're starting the weekend off right, and giving away both a beautiful Seven Yaks art batt and a fantastic diz/wpi gauge tool! I live in a college town, and our weekends begin on Thursdays :D Remember- all the really smart college kids juggled their class schedules to have Fridays off?
::looks sheepishly over her sholder::
::cue chirping crickets::

Mmmkay! Everyone visit the lovely Seven Yaks shop, and find something you like. Write about that something in the comments section below. I will randomly (as in random.org) select a lucky commenter on Monday to win this awesome batt and diz tool! All of you awesome folks who twitter, plurk, facebook and blog about this giveaway will get extra entries!

Lynne, you're just wonderful- you know that? Keep up the awesome work!

Loving the cashmere noils - is there anything better than pink + green + cashmere?!?

Cashmere noils sound awesome! I've spun with silk noils and thought they added super cool texture, so I can only imagine cashmere would be similarly fun.

Also intrigued by the tunisian crochet hooks. I have to admit I've been keen on trying tunisian crochet since I've seen some awesome projects on Ravelry.

I absolutely love the roving in color "Aster" - I have a thing for pinks, purples, roses... anything girly and this is certainly girly. It would look great spun up!

My hubby bought me 2 sizes of 7 Yaks sock blockers for my birthday! I love them...they aren't wood, so it doesnt matter if the socks are damp. Plus, they were "oopsies", so he got a fabulous deal! At the time I was super in love with the snowflake needle guages and...well...everything! It's a beautiful shop!

I've always thought her diz and needle gauge selections are wonderful! The heart shaped one is my favorite. I also like the rovings sold in smaller sizes and mix and match packs for felting or 4oz sizes for spinning. If I ever get a drum carder, I may have to try some of those cashmere noils too!

TNTknits said...

Wow! I love not one, but three things at this shop. Who could resist cashmere noils? And the WPI/Diz combo is adorable. Finally, the "Spinning is my Alchemy" plaque would be perfect for my craft room.

Jude said...

Since I am just learning to spin and also just found out what a diz does, I like the diz's! Ingenious!

I will have to agree with everyone on the cashmere noils this time. The Mix and Match roving sounds like a great idea for beginners like myself.

I did dip slightly into my pocket and bought a pair of circular needles, but I needed them, you understand. . . right?

I blogged about this giveaway to make up for my indiscretion. Hee!

I got some of the pink cashmere noil in my Phat box this past month, and it's really lovely. I think I'd be tempted to go for the natural if I were to make a purchase, though-- better for blending.

I don't even know where to begin,there are so many fantastic things in this shop! I need to pick up a diz/wpi gauge, and the tools at Seven Yaks are the most creative and whimsical I've ever seen. I was enjoying looking at the tools ... when I noticed the Amphora Vessel lampwork bead.

I know I'm a geeky science teacher, but I also have a background in Art History, so I'm qualified to say this: That is one awesome bead!
