Shearlock's Choice Award- Fiber Fancy! And Giveaway!
Out of the September box, Shearlock chose to go investigate Diana, of Fiber Fancy. Her samples were beautiful, generous, soft, and had a neat legend attatched, which was befitting out theme.
Rather than narrate Shearlock's trip to NY, Diana took several pictures and has shared them with us. First was Shearlock at a fiber festival where he helped in both the Fiber Fancy and The Critter Ranch booths. Next, Shearlock was found investigating Diana's 30 lb fiber shipment!
After he watched over Diana's spinning, he took a little time for some 'r & r' and went sightseeing and of course, had to inspect the Llamas- who were a little standoffish, probably because they aren't used to Shearlock's "alternative" woolstyle.
Shearlock would like to thank Diana of Fiber Fancy, for being such a gracious host! He's back home now gearing up for another trip!
We're giving away a beautiful 2 oz Fiber Fancy "Maid of the Mist" batt to a lucky commenter! Just visit Fiber Fancy, find something you like, and write about it in the comments section below. We're drawing for a winner on Friday, so be sure and take time to visit!
Remember, we will be counting your extra social networking as additional entries- just let us know you did it!

The handspun with coils and beads is awesome. My favorite of the colorways- the batt "Reserved for knittinaddict... in Melons, Local Alpaca, Merino and more". It looks delicious.
Lovely stuff! I think my faves were the Mile High and Autumn Sunset batts.
This is *so* not my usual style, but I really love the Ruckus colorway. I also like the Fury and Citrus Eye Candy colors.
If I had to pick just one, it would be Falkland in Fury. With additional budget, I would also go for Punta in Stormy Skies.

Fiber FAncy does lovely work in pastel colorways, but the Crazy Funk textured batts really caught my eye.
Stormy Skies and Fury (Falkland) are the far and away favorites. Looks like I'm in some kind of "mood" today! As a very new spinner, I must thank you for introducing me to lots of fun places to find fiber.
I love Falkland in Fury!!!
I think my favorite in the shop is Soft Candy Corn -- but my favorite overall is Maid of the Mists! It was one of my favorite samples this month!
And I tweeted. :-)
I asked my brother which one he liked, and he said he likes "fury."
Because it is soft and "goes around."

The daughter oohed and ahhhed over the Now That's Pink but then couldn't decide because she really also liked the Nubbly Gems.
She does a really "Striking" (hah - I know, I'm not funny - but iliked that one too) job with her colors. I feel xmas shopping.....
Not to be boring, but I love the smooth batt that is just Charcoal. It's just such a gorgeous natural color that I can't help but admire it.

I'm enjoying the Punta combed top in Stormy Skies. Yum!
Fallen Leaves is my favorite because it reminds me of the October day my husband and I got married!
All the Falklands batts were lovely (Falkland is a favorite of mine to spin) but the Yearling Mohair Combed Top in Stormy Skies caught my eye. The colors really are those found in stormy skies, and I could almost smell the rain coming toward me as I looked at the fiber. And it looks so soft...Beautiful!
