WC Mercantile Texas Fiber Club Giveaway!
The best little wool shop in Texas has generously offered a Texas Fiber Club giveaway here on the Phat Fiber blog!! I'm so excited!! Many of you have had a taste of Stephanie's artisan dyed fiber in your boxes (check out the top picture for a sneak peek at December!) and the response has been wonderful!
We love all of the different fiber options available in the shop! Silk, Wool, Mohair, Firestar, it's really all there. Go look for yourself :) While you're there, feel free to oogle the spinning wheels, the dyes, the yarn, *sigh* this is where I daydream about having a part time job at WCMercantile (quality control, you know, so Steph can put an 'inspected by J' sticker on everything).
So, you want a Texas Fiber Club? Just visit WCMercantile, find something you like, and write about it in the comments section below. Extra entries will be allotted to those who plurk, twitter, facebook, ravelate, or blog about this giveaway/shop. Remember to leave a way for us to find you, but the best way to see if you've won this amazing giveaway, is to check back on Saturday! That is when we'll be selecting a winner.
Thank you so much Stephanie, for bringing us superior products at great prices!

Ooo... the Dove and Deep Sea merino rovings would look wonderful together in a Fair Isle design! Thanks for a chance to win...I've got my fingers crossed! :)
Wow I think you are right what great fibers. What I really liked and I think will be on my next thing to buy list is the Earthues Botanical Dye Kit and 1 pound of Merino Wool - What fun!
I can haz spinning wheel? No? It's about the fiber? Oh. Ok. I still want some of her undyed sport-weight superwash to try my hand at dyeing. My husband has GIANT FEETS so sport is perfect for socks for him, and it's hard to find sport in as interesting colorways as sock yarn, so I should prolly just do it my damn self.
RTed @millarca!
I love the Olive Delight and the Forest Floor rovings. (I'm so predictable when it come sot colours.) And I've been wondering what the Earthues Botanical Dye Kit is like, too.
Twittered, too! @owldaughter
I love everything in this shop. The midnight top and the forest floor top are on my "to buy" list at the moment. I'm currently spinning olive delight and it is a delight to work with. The pictures really don't show all the wonderfulness and colorfulness that is in the fiber.

I've bought roving from her before and had super fast shipping! I love her undyed silk hankies...thinking they may have to come home with me too!
The multi-colored yearling mohair tops are gorgeous... such vivid colors!

Outside of all the delicious fiber blends they have, I am coveting the Majacraft Rose Spinning Wheel. I hope to make that purchase by no later than spring. I have purchased many fibers from WC Mercantile and I have never been disappointed.
Oooh, I just love the 4 oz. Indie Dyed Superwash Merino Roving - Midnight Garden. The range of purples is just beautiful.
I'm partial to the 3 oz mystery bags of roving. I love getting surprises.
Yesss... I do want an Ashford Traveller spinning wheel, thanks for asking!
And also, I would love to bury my face in the recycled, carded Sari Silk and the black & white farm-fresh yearling Mohair!

Ahh! What is not to like in this shop?! It's really one of my favorites, the products are always nicely packages and of high quality. And a huge bonus is the low low shipping price to Canada. One thing I'd like to add to my wishlist is the 3 oz Mystery Bag of Rovings, Tops, and Batts in different Fibers - it would make an awesome funky art yarn or felting project!
I love the 4 oz. Fine Alpaca Top - Dark Chocolate.
ikkinlala AT yahoo DOT ca
I love the 4 oz. Merino Wool and Tencel Top - Deep Sea, just heavenly!
I want the carded recycled sari silk!
Ooh, merino silk in Mackenzie Tartan! So pretty!
I love the Indie Dyed Superwash Merino Roving in Midnight Garden and the Earthues Botanical Dye Kit. Also, I've been eyeing the Ashford Kiwi!
love the Merino Wool Top - New Deal Teal, yum!
I would LOVE the recycled carded Sari Silk!
My faves are the baby camel/silk top and the carded sari silk!
As much as I LOVE fiber and roving, my favorite things in the shop are the spinning wheel. I think that's because I have been lusting after the majacraft little gem for a while now. But really the entire shop is really well stocked and I will definetly have to pay them another vist after payday!
I want everything, what great prices.
This is my favorite though, 4 oz. Merino and Tussah Silk Top - Blueberry Blues - Ships Free
Love the undyed brushed kid mohair. It looks like a cloud and probably just as soft
My favorite would be the 4 oz Skein of Undyed Merino and Silk Yarn - looks so soft!
Thanks,
kimberlybreid at hotmail dot com
Oooh I covet the baby camel down and silk top. I think I'd want to smoosh it more than spin it though!
The teal tartan corriedale looks absolutely delicious!
oo pretty fibers. I like the midnight garden dyed merino roving. can i also have the ashford spinning wheel to go along with it? lol.
knitmit on rav
Love the Deep Sea merino and tencel top!
I love the mystery bag of roving! What fun... I see some scrappy yarn in my future...
RavID: MuddyMoose
So many lovely things, but I have to select the Merino Wool and Tencel Top - Deep Sea!
I like the "Deep Sea" merino and tencel top.
I REALLY want to experience>>WC Mercantile -- It has to be a Spinner's Delight!
The Merino top "The Delta River Run" is making me Drool! :)
The botanical dye kit sounds so interesting. How fun!
The carded sari silk looks really interesting!
There's a sock yarn dying kit that looks extra fun to try! What beautiful things in that shop! I'm naughtyknots on Rav
Everything looks awesome but I really love the Merino & Tussah Silk top in Mackenzie Tartan. Thanks for the chance to win!
so much good stuff! What caught my eye today is the merino/tussah silk in a hint of lilac -- beautiful!
Ooh, there are so many beautiful things. I was having troubly deciding between 4 oz. Merino and Tussah Silk Top - Blueberry Blues and the 4 oz. Merino and Tussah Silk Top - Mackenzie Tartan. But, since we were married in Scotland, I have to say the Tartan takes it for me, wiht the Blueberries coming in a very close second.
I really like the Two ounces of pure Mohair from Flying Wright Farms Yearling Angora goats kettle dyed a soft purple.
I looooove WC Mercantile and shop there often - but I had never seen the recycled, carded sari silk before now, and I am in LOVE. Yes yes yes.
I'm tweeting about this @xiane_org and I'll do a Facebook post, too. Yay!
Dear Santa: Please bring me the "Merino Wool and Tussah Silk Top - Hint of Lilac." A pound or two might be enough. hehehe… just sayin'…
I was looking through the pages and having a horrible time of pinning any one thing as a favorite when the Merino Wool and Tussah Silk Top - Hint of Lilac caught my eye. I love it!
!! Beautiful Cashmere top.. I'd been looking for some forever, and I can't believe that I missed this shop! Gorgeous, gorgeous selection of everything. Cashmere has to be my favorite, and this is totally going on my list of places next time I'm in need. I finally gave up and just bought cashmere yarn. >.< If I'd just waited 3 more days!
I really like the farm fresh mohair roving from Flying Wright Farms, especially in the blue and purple colorways. I got a sample of their mohair in my first Phat Fiber box and it's wonderfully soft -- not itchy at all!
Ooooo, I love all of it. My favorites are Sage Leaf, Deep Sea, Hint of Lilac, and Mackenzie Tartan.
I would like to try the dye your own sock yarn kit.
I really love the Hint of Lilac batt, along with the Blueberry Blues batt. Ooo, barber pole those together ...
The nuances in the Delta River Run would make it a pleasure to spin up
I love the mystery bag of different fibers-like a bag of fiber candy. So many possibilities and little tastings for experimentation...sort of like getting a PF box! Clearly I'm addicted.
I'm looking longingly at the unfinished Ashford Kiwi wheel and wishing I had a spare $300 or so to spend right now.
I also really like the Merino Wool Top in India Ink Purple. The color is just really appealing to me.
cthulhulovesme@Rav
What's not to love?? Organic cotton, camel, angora, silk, merino, corriedale.. how am I supposed to choose just one? LOL
That Recycled Sari Silk jumped right out at me - that is fantastic!
The Ashford Traveller caught my eye. I have one, and love her -- would get a second one in a heartbeat.
So many beautiful colors to choose from--how'd you get those so bright? :) The Firestar is stunning!
http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=25210960
I bought "Forest Floor" as the fiber to tie all the November Phat Fiber box samples I received together. It was a great choice, when spun it becomes a heathery brown with highlights of pine and burgundy. I got the main fiber for the October samples from WC Mercantile as well. They are "right down the road" from me and I love to stop in and get things in the mail from them.
The recycled sari silk looks absolutely gorgeous -- I think I NEED some! But my heart was completely captured by the mention of the Schacht Ladybug. I hadn't heard about it yet, and went off to read more about it. It looks fabulous, and Amy Singer's review makes me want it immediately. ;)
Tweeted too. :)
I really really want the Indie Dyed Superwash Merino Roving in Midnight Garden! It looks like the perfect mix of color to banish winter blues!
New Deal Teal - lovely
RTed! @MamaKnits2Much
I love everything at WC Mercantile! To narrow it down....I've had my eye on the Earthues Botanical Dye Kit. That and a whole bunch of wool to play with. Wouldn't that be a blast?!!
This 4 oz. Merino and Tussah Silk Top - Mackenzie Tartan is really beautiful, I'd better let Santa know real quick!
Holy Moly! I love them all! I have a nice home waiting... "just sayin"! I love spinning, still learning! :) THanks for the chance to win! Woo--HOO!
I love the Deep Sea. I will definitely have to visit WC Mercantile on my next trip to Texas!
Oh my, I was practically drooling when I paged through this site. Then I saw 4 oz. Indie Dyed Superwash Merino Roving - Midnight Garden. WOW!!!
The Ashford's Elizabeth II wheel looks amazing - and being described as a fairytale wheel totally sold it to me...
I love the Leprechaun roving, it's such a pretty green color.
I would love to start dying! Dye kits would be awesome. I would also love to try some Forest Floor roving. Mmmm.
