Galia Spindle Designs and Giveaway!
I have been just itching to tell you all about a new Phattie we have this month! Galia hails from Israel and makes the most beautiful polymer clay spindles!
Galia's craftswomanship is in a word: exquisite. She's sent in a beautiful spindle for us to giveaway here on the blog and if I didn't already know it was made from polymer clay, I would have puzzled myself wondering how she carved a spindle out of stone!
In this month's box, I'm excited to be able to include some adorable polymer clay buttons, handcrafted by Galia, so you can get a taste of her amazing abilities.
As for the spindle itself, it has a delicate appearance, but has a substantialness (I think I just made that word up!) about it in hand- perfect for spinning on the go!
As mentioned before, we're giving away this gorgeous "Horizon" spindle from Spindle Designs. All you need do is visit Spindle Designs, find something you love, write about it in the comments section, and we'll draw for a winner later this week. Be sure and use twitter/facebook/plurk/ravelry to gain extra entries!
Thank you, Galia for sharing your beautiful work with us!

I just took a spinning class last weekend and I'm looking for a first spindle...the kaleidoscope spindle is high on the list!!! Though I'd much rather win, of course.
They are all beautiful.
LIZARDSKIN - Polymer clay top whorl spindle, 24gr/.85oz is gorgeous and although it has a flaw, I think NEBULA is way up there on the list too!
These spindles are B-E-A-U-T-I-F-U-L! I am really liking Cathedral and Cotton Candy.
Oh, I love the Code spindle... but I would cheerfully use the Lapis or Cathedral or Smoke ones, too. This is really lovely work.
RTed too! @owldaughter
the "cathedral" spindle is gorgeous......and i totally can't beleive that is all done with clay, some of that stuff looks an aweful lot like stone!! very talented!!!

How is this done? They are beautiful. I cannot believe that the lapis is really clay and not stone.
I love her spindle bags! I might just have to woosh one into my cart!

I have been eyeing Galia's spindles for quite some time now, and I have favorited a lot of them in Etsy. Right now my favorites are Savannah, Smoke and Film Noir. I also work with polymer clay and I know all the work that must go in making those beautiful spindles.
If the Lapis is polymer clay then I'll never worry about getting stone again! That is soooo beautiful.
wow, how pretty- i like the lapis one
I love Nebula and Lizardskin. And, to be honest, all of them! They are incredible.
Cathedral and lapis are both beautiful, deep sapphire blues. Love(100).
Oh my, what an incentive to learn to spin!
My favorite is lapis, I think, or maybe lagoon, or maybe ...
All of her spindles are pretty. My favorites would be the Lagoon and the Cathedral.

The cathedral spindle (http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=40682871) is gorgeous. I also think the horizon one you're giving away is the most beautiful spindle ever.
Wow! How could one hope to choose from her spindles? They're incredible. I'd be awfully hard pressed to choose between Nebula and Code, and Kaleidoscope, and Sonar...
This might be enough to make a girl take up spinning!
