Counting Sheep Farm Giveaway!

Rachel from Counting Sheep Farm has an amazing new website! We're so excited for her and hope that this change brings much prosperity!

Above is a sneak preview of what could be in your Phat Fiber box this month- beautiful "Emerald City" carded batts!

I'll skip right to the part you're all wondering about- the giveaway! Rachel has sent in a book called "Maiden Shawl" by Jane Ann Jibson- more about the book att Arbor Yarns.
She also sent in enough My8KidsMom hand dyed laceweight ( in a gorgeous mottled gray!) to complete the shawl pattern that illustrates the book!

To be eligible for this wonderful giveaway, all you need do is visit Counting Sheep Farm, find something you like, and write about it in the comments section below. We'll be drawing for the winner later this week, so be sure and use a social networking tool to ping about Rachel's shop and the giveaway because we'll count that entry twice. Make sure you tell us where you twittered/facebook'd etc and to leave an identifying mark so we can track you down in case you win!

Thank you Rachel for sharing your wonderfully creative work and your new website with us!

There's a listing for roving that says 70% Alpaca, 15% Cormo and 15% Silk. It also says "Extremely soft and a dream to spin!" and there's no problem whatsoever in convincing me about that. That's on top of my whishlist today.

Kathleen said...

I love The Bog! Looks like it would be a lot of fun to spin.

Visited The Counting Sheep Farm site. Found "Fright Hand Dyed Sock Yarn," which reminds me of a Van Gogh painting and Wild Flowers Hand Dyed Sock Yarn jumped out at me, too. I'm slightly obsessed with sock yarn at the moment.

I love Rachel's site and all the sheep! Fright had me had me at hello since it reminded me of Van Gogh's Starry Night which is a favorite of mine. It's as if she lifted the colors right off the painting, now that's talent! I also loved How Blue Can You Make Me hand dyed yarn-those are perfect shades of blues I love. And the Bog Farm Fresh Batt made me think of the ocean & I'm missing that. Of course I REALLY love the shawl and my8kidsmom's stunning lace yarn. Makes me want to put on my son's lucky socks & hope it rubs off on me lol.

Hi everyone, I'm a very novice spinner and what I would consider an advanced beginner when it comes to knit and crochet. The Melon Hand Dyed Silk Yarn made me swoon and the 100% Natural Colored Romney has such a great earthy quality! Needless to say I've now bookmarked the shop, my bank account looks very fearful, lol.

Kelli said...

That natural colored Romney drew me immediately, as did the Algae hand-dyed yarn.

The first thing that caught my attention was the Jacob roving. Jacob the first fiber I ever spun and is still one of my very favorites.

Chickens, sheep, yarn - OMG CAN I BE YOU?! I love all your stuff, it's wondrous. Can I call the Jacob sheep as my favorite? Their wool might be coarser than some, but I love their badger faces!

Ok, ok, I'll stick to things that are for sale. Hahaha, how perfect, that "Farm Fresh Batt" named Envious wins! If not for the name, I'd have had a much harder time deciding - what fantastic products! Definitely gonna be back ...
