While I was browsing through a few hundred shawl patterns on Ravelry- I happened upon a new one by Dale of Light Brown Hare. It's called Supernova and although the yarn specified is no longer available, the pattern was written specifically for 1 6oz skein of her Jackrabbit fingering weight yarn. How easy can it get?! Just purchase a skein, download a pattern and you're on your way to a beautiful shawl/throw/tablecloth!
I have a skein of her Jackrabbit yarn in Nebula#5- and it's been whispering to me to make something out it!

The "milky way" really wears its name well. Funny that -20C brings around my part of the country such beautifull starry skies...just like that color...seriously!

I can't choose between Robin's Nest and Olive Grove- they are both just incredible.
I really liked the ice rink colourway seen here: http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=36991617 a lot of her more subtle lighter colourways really speak to me though.
I like the Picadilly 2 colorway in the sock yarn.

Everytime I go to the Light Brown Hare site I am drawn to the Taiga yarns, since I live in a Taiga forest. One of these days I'm sure they're going to come home to me!

Ice Rink is a really beautiful subtle looking yarn -- I've just starting learning to knit and I already have two socks on the go. Well, one pathetic little toe-shaped item that is going into the historical collection as soon as I can bear to pull out the needles. But the cuff-down ribbing is looking promising. I really like the way many of the yarns are dyed. The way the colors blend into each other are great. I really like the Orange Sherbert and Sunny colors.

Dale was my college roomate, she made me a sweater 16 years ago (gasp!) I still wear it, it still lopks great, I still get compliments on it. She is brilliant.

Dang, there are some really beautiful yarns in here! I think I have to go with the "Sebastian" Jackrabbit yarn. It was a hard choice though!
This is a very hard decision. All of the yarns are beautiful. My favorite sock yarn is Berry Pie.
My favorite light worsted is Long Purples 1 and my favorite heavy worsted weight is Cherry Pie.
All lovely, and beyond wonderful yarn sample packaging. One of my favorites - Arctic Hare - colorway Ginger Nut. So deep and rich and love the silver sparkle.
I am in love with Bright Star I and Bright Star II. I think it's the sparkly silver combined with the shades of blue--so beautiful!

I love sparkly and they definitely had some sparkly yarn. For some reason, and I don't know why, Stardate 1 called to me. I am not a big fan of red and usually avoid it, but this one called to me. Maybe it was my inner Trekkie squeeing about the name!! I also liked Ultraviolet A and Avenger 2.
