WC Mercantile Giveaway!

Stephanie, from the best little wool shop in Texas (WCMercantile) created beautiful kettle dyed silk noil samples for the January box. Her inspiration was one of humanity's earliest novel's The Tale of Genji.

I think I may have told you all before, but I'll say it again. I visit WCMercantile and stalk her majacraft wheels. I must have her listings memorized lol! Her store is very "stalkable", don't you know. Feeling like silk- it's there. Some sparkle? It's there too! A fiber daydreamer's delight!

Stephanie has offered to custom-dye a couple of oz of this silk noil for a lucky commenter here on the blog. Just visit WCMercantile, find something you love, and write about it in the comments section below. We'll draw for the winner later in the week and you can arrange what color you would like to see your silk noil in.
Remember to use twitter, facebook, your blog or Ravelry and gain extra entries by helping us promote WCMercantile! Oh, and in case you win... make sure you leave a way for us to find you!

Thank you Steph, for being so generous and sharing your beautiful work with us!

I'm kind of fascinated by the Crystal Metallic Fibers, especially the Emerald. I like the idea of embedding into a felted material.

I just ordered some items for a swap from them and it came really fast - I can't wait to order more from them. Great customer service!

I've been wanting to get into dying silk noil so right now, I'm loving their natural silk noil for dying. I might have to pick some up next time I'm going on an Etsy shopping spree.

What a delicious feast for the eyes. I love all the colors of merino, and the camel down with tussah silk looks heavenly, but I am dying to play with some silk hankies. So if I have to choose only one, that would be it.

The Curiosity Kit is a *great* idea!

She has so many wondrous goodies! I had to fav her. Ok, if I could choose anything, it would be the Ashford Kiwi lacquered spinning wheel - I so want to learn to spin! For a fiber, the 4oz of Merino Top in Cappuccino. Mmmm. Love Merino!

Although I'm usually not a super yellow person, I am thinking about needing yellow for a spinning project. The Lemon Drop and Canary tops are just about perfect for it, I think!

I really want to learn to dye my own yarn, so their undyed sport weight yarn, I think it was 4 oz., would be the thing I'd most like to purchase. I don't have room to do it, but I'd MAKE room. Thanks!

I think I'd like to take the Merino Top in Midnight, then add in the Indie Dyed Superwash Merino Roving in Midnight Garden as my choice on this vist to WCMerc. And I love the little notice - SHIPS FREE - that appears on everything. Free sipping is one of my top incentives when choosing where to purchase from the internet.
