Beesy Bee Fibers Milk Fiber Giveaway Vlog

Notes:
*Video blog, a little over 8 mins.

*Beesybee fibers milk giveaway! Visit Beesybee fibers, find something you like, write about it on this blog to be entered to win ( we count facebooking, tweeting, ravelating, blogging and plurking as extra entries!)

*See a handspun hand-knit milk shawl (live action with drape)

*Explanation about how I ply a single on to itself using center pull ball
using northstaralpacas swirl roving

* Why I'm sitting in front of a wood pile- if "Every man looks at his woodpile with a sort of affection" (Thoreau) Then, they should also look at their handspun pile with the same affection, right?

Hard to make a choice. All the rovings looks fantastic. If I had to pick 1 or 2 I would opt for Breakpoint + Rocksand.

Parrot I love it.

I love Spring Garden Merino!

I'm a spindle spinner and this is what I do with center pull singles:

When I spin 2 ply from my TP Roll "bobbins". I don't take the core out. I flatten down the core and leave it. Then there is something still holding the core open. When it gets to the point the core is about to fall out, I hold the singles in my left hand with my thumb in the middle. It seems to mitigate tangles at the end. I didn't dream this up tho. I saw a spinning wheel spinner on YouTube holding a regular center pull cake in her hand with her thumb in the middle whilst spinning.

Fav colorways at BusyBee are Truffles and Abalone.
And, the milk protein fiber has always had a fascination for me. Some lucky someone will get to spin the stuff! Wish she had more offered on her site.

S t o r m y M o n d a y - 4.1 oz - Wensleydale is a perfect name for this colorway. It reminds me of stormy day at the beach.

I love the names. Parrot is a great name for that particular colourway. But I think it's the hand-dyed Teeswateer that steals the show.

That HuncaMunca is awesome. I'm a new spinner, and I'd love to try something other than the wool that I've got. Plus? It's dyed in <a href="http://www.cscc.edu</a>my school colors</a>, which is a HUGE achievement when you're living in Columbus and not going to OSU!
