Corgi Hill Farm and *Giveaway*

I'm sure you all know, that April's theme is "Eco/Green". I'm also sure you know that buying indie helps planet earth too. What- explain? Okay!
Take AnnaMarie, from Corgi Hill Farm for instance. She's bound set and determined to live "off grid" and sustainably in a beautiful farm house, growing her own food and living the simple life. That wasn't always the plan with AnnaMarie. She's a self-proclaimed recovering "shopping diva" who is continually realizing (as chronicled on her blog) that less is more.
So, here is where I can help you justify a delicious, scrumptious, droolicious, squooshable, squishable hank of handspun: By purchasing a skein of AnnaMarie's yarn, you are financially supporting her quest to "power down" which also helps negate your own carbon footprint! You remember those skeins of R** Heart You bought at the dollar store before you realized yarn could be so nummy and soft, and natural? I bet one hank of Corgi Hill Farm handspun just might even your yarn karma out!
Do you know what AnnaMarie did with all of her February samples? She spun them up for you! We're giving away a sampling of AnnaMarie's spinning and they are all composed of "phat" fiber.
All you have to do to win is visit AnnaMarie's shop and find something you like. Post about it here and a winner will be drawn on Monday so you have all weekend to drool over every listing in her shop! Remember, I will count your twittering, plurks, blogposts and facebook updates as second chances- just be sure to let me know you did it, and be sure to leave a way for me to find you when you win.
Thank you so much AnnaMarie, for being a "green" pioneer- we can all learn alot from your journey! We hope you'll continue to contribute your nummy yarn in future boxes!

Oooh! I've only recently discovered yarn outside of the Wal-Mart/Jo-Ann's brands, and hers look totally yummy! The Blue Wave Handspun (http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=22478088) is my favorite. Blue is the perfect spring color!

If I should happen to win, e-mail me: emamos24(at)gmail(dot)com

Meanwhile, I'm off to visit AnnaMarie's blog. :)

She likes blue like I do. :-)

Handspun Grape is so rich. Ane the Handspun Lichen on Bark Superwash is so earthy.

I don't know how someone can make these lovely yarns, and then get rid of them all....don't you want to just keep them and pet them?

I blogged about this giveaway:

This was a truly difficult choice, her colors are fantastic, as are the textures. After very careful perusal I decided on the Handspun Lichen on Bark- Mostly because I can see myself in a shrug made of it. Yummy, warm and Atumnal.

i love the goal of self-sustainability and off the grid.... very admirable goals!

after looking over (and over) the store contents, i would have to say that my favorite is Handspun Favorite Scoop Merino Silk 160 Yards.

it truly does remind me of cherry\chocolate icecream... i think a scarf made of this would be delightful!

The "Sky and Sea Hanspun Yarn Blue Faced Leicester, BFL" is gorgeous!

My favorite has to be the Blue Wave handspun. However, it is much more romantic to imagine that this yarn was named after shimmering blue waves rather than a burger joint, even though it was a blue burger joint. I thought restaurants weren't supposed to have blue anyways because that color is thought to make people less hungry. But I digress. In any case, the yarn is delicious!
