Wilde Thyme Handspun Giveaway!

I am so excited to be giving away this yarn! It is just stunning! A bulky, textural single ply with gorgeous soothing colors and hints of fiery sparkle, this yarn is really a beautiful example of what you can expect from Artist, Laura Murphy of Wilde Thyme.

Laura is a full time mixed media artist, teacher and fine arts advocate! You may remember seeing her at the SLV folk fest as she helped create this fiber fun event!

Much of the items you'll find in Wilde Thyme, are botanically inspired. Laura has come up with spinning bulbs just in time for the fall weather approaching us! I think these are really clever and I hope you'll try them all and let me know if you love them.

As I mentioned previously, we're giving away a gorgeous 250 yd skein of this beautiful bulky single to a lucky commenter. Just visit Wilde Thyme, find something you like, and write about it in the comments section below. We'll be drawing for a name on Saturday, and remember that I always count those blogposts, tweets, plurks, and facebook comments as second entries!

Laura, thank you so much for sharing your creativity with us! It is inspirational.

I must have this yarn... MUST have it - so everyone else just back away slowly... slowly now, hey you, back away! :) Kidding. All's fair (sometimes).

I saw her little roving bulbs posted over in the Rav forum and fell in love with her marketing. How cute are they! My favorite thing in her shop, however, are the yarn bells. I TOTALLY need to keep my balls of yarn under control when knitting so I don't lose them under the couch and these are JUST what I need, and cute too!

CARNIVAL Handspun, Handpainted yarn: Laura, you really have a gift for taking yarn to the next level. There's handspun yarn, and then there's this. It's stunning. The colour is so rich a red and the purple and gold add an element of opulence to makes it simply subline. The twists and kinks of the thick and thin spin just add to that. I simply LOVE this yarn. Wonderful work!!! <3

First of all... Must. Have. Yarnbell! My dog has lately taken a liking to my yarn and he must be stopped!

Secondly, how would one choose just one yarn? Savory hand spun? Magic Beans hand spun? Pineapple Mint hand painted? Basil Opal hand painted? Love, love, love!

Oh, and idyll hands ~ your comment cracked me up :-)

Hi from a new poster. I saw this blog from Laura's facebook page. You know, I don't know what it is about Laura's fiber, but each time I find one that I swear is my favorite, I find another. Currently, I am entranced by the WATERING CAN.

I LOVE the BATT CRAZY left-over batts you have listed! Why is it even when we card and spin our own, we always want another artist's stuff?? I continue to purchase yarn and batts from others... it just isn't the same as using my own sometimes! Beautiful yarns, too. And yes, the yarn bell is so creative and unique! Love it!
