Rocket Yarn and Givewawy!

I have had way too much fun looking at Celena's Rocket Yarn shop! Celena has so many different types of fibers and yarn- really there is something for everyone!
Every time I say Rocket Yarn- I am really sort of singing it in an Elton Johnesque way:

And i think it's gonna be a long long time
Till touch down brings me round again to find
I'm not the yarn they think i am at home
Oh no no no i'm a rocket yarn
Rocket yarn knitting out his fuse up here alone

Yes, there are many layers to my geekieness.

Interesting fact: Celena worked for NASA! Which means if we are ever in a post-apocalyptic situation and you could only pick indie yarnies to survive with, Celena would be on my short list!
(yes, even more layers of my geekiness unfold- Aren't you watching The Colony too?)

I'm too excited to be giving away 2 Astro Batts from Rocket Yarn!! We'll be drawing for a lucky commenter on Friday, so visit Rocket Yarn, find something you like, and post abou it in the comments section below. Remember to plurk, twitter, facebook, ravelate, and blog about this contest for extra entries- just let us know you did it!

Celena- your yarn is rockin, your batts are oribital and your roving is out of this world!

Woohoo! I found this shop a couple of days ago when we were listed in the same Etsy treasury. I love the astrobatts, the whole idea of them - they really do look like (my imagined version of) outer space. I also like the blue/green Seawool Pencil Roving. And the purple. And the green. And the orange merino ("Dye Method: pour and smoosh" - hahaha). So much to love.

I hope I win this one because I've loved her stuff long before she became a Phat Fiber contributor! Her astro batts are beautiful! I'm quite partial to the black hole one (I have two ounces of it in my stash) but they are all beautiful! The land mass one is my other favorite!

Celena's yarns and fibers are truly amazing! Top quality, super soft, and great colors. I am lucky enough to be in Gainesville and Hanks Yarn and Fiber carries Rocket Yarn.

It is hard to tell from the pictures but the astrobatts are slightly shimmery, which make them my favorite.

I also really like the Go Gators fiber in her shop. Football starts next week! Go Gators!

I absolutely love your reference to Rocket Man - it was the song that got me hooked on Elton John and I've been a HUGE fan ever since (it was very hard to be an Elton John fan in Jr. High in the 90s... but I stuck it through).

I think I've missed this shop in the past, but it's wonderful! I have a huge thing for all things orange and I love the shade of orange in this roving - http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=28449170

Lovely!
