This time of year, I am especially drawn to worsted weight yarn. Not only is it colder (here in the Midwest), but they knit up into quick gifts like hats and mittens. I really can't get over the delicious color of this "Mauvine" yarn from Quaere Fibre!

I'm with you on the worsted yarn this time of year! In the shop the self striping sock yarn in Bright Yellow, Muted Pumpkin and Vibrant Red really caught my eye.

As a Doctor Who fan I loved both Bigger on the INside and the Weeping Angels which was too lovely to be a scary fanged angel!

I love the sock yarn singles in Limon. Light yellow would make a nice contrast for many of the dark, cooler colors I have in my stash - and I'm doing a lot of small colorwork projects this winter.
Tough to choose- at the moment the "Hand Dyed Fingering/Sock Sparkle Yarn, Superwash Merino/Nylon/Stellina, Bright Lights" is what catches my eye quickest, but it's all really lovely. Fantastic and unexpected color combos!

The tweed-base fingering yarn in the Koi colourway is lovely! Those little neps are just enough texture for the socks I love.
My favorite to date is the self-striping Hanukkah sock yarn (that I'm currently turning into socks) - love the colors and the base!!

I just love the tweed yarn in Yarn versus Zombies. I love the deep shades of green and the little nubs of fiber scattered throughout the skein. Lovely!
