Yarn Candy by Melissa and *Giveaway*

There really is nothing like having the correct tools for the job. If you're into lace or socks- one of the tools you need is Yarn Candy by Melissa enamel stitch markers! These little gems are beautiful, lightweight, and versatile!

Here is a little about Melissa, creator of these beautiful pieces of functional art:

"Being an avid knitter and the daughter of a yarn shop owner Melissa knows the importance of a beautiful yet functional stitch marker. Her stitch markers are made with an abundance of care and creativity in order to ensure both quality and sweetness. Handmade and unique, her stick pins are the perfect finish to a hand knit shawl or scarf and will rest beautifully on the lapel of a sweater. Available in two different lengths, 3 inch & 5 inch, these pins are truly versatile. Made with a range of different beads prices vary, giving you a wide selection with affordability in mind."

For those of you who received Melissa's Yarn Candy, there was a generous coupon code on her sample- so please look for those!

Melissa was so kind to send me a beautiful peridot and gold colored shawl pin to be used as a giveaway contest! So, if you would please, visit YarnCandybyMelissa and find something you like (this should be very easy for you) and post about it below here. Those of you who plurk, post about it in a forum, tweet, or blog it will get extra entries! Make sure you leave a way for me to find you, in case you win ;) Drawing will be held on Friday!

Thank you very much Melissa! We look forward to future contributions to the box!

I have some pendant-type beads that look almost exactly like that frog shawl pin! I keep intending to make earrings out of them, and that pin would give me a kooky but cool matching set!

I like the silver goldfish ones. I don't use stitch markers very often, but I might have to have a set "just in case".

All I have at this point are plain old boring plastic stitch markers (but then again, I'm a beginning knitter), but I love Melissa's "Yarn Candy". I especially like these hearts: http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=20637468

The shawl pins that are reminiscent of kilt pins are fabulous.

I love a good stitch marker, so I am loving these!

She does good work.
